Optical illusionS is a project created at the end of 2003 by Marta B., a 25 years old girl born in Barcelona, with the desire to dress psytrance parties by a psychedelic, fresh and original decoration.
It was in September 2000, when Marta came for the first time to a psytrance party in Barcelona. Feeling attracted by the music and the philosophy of this type of parties, she has been present at different events in England, France, Greece and Portugal, in which she realized how important the decoration in a psyparty is. In 2003 she decided to start doing small creations to decorate parties organised by her friends, and then she started experimenting with different materials and textures, up to know the technique called StringArt.
Optical illusionS bases most of her creations on flat and three-dimensional structures composed by modules that allow a fast,sure and easy transport and assembly of the decoration. In these structures you can appreciate the visual effects that offers the StringArt.
Optical illusionS is the result of the enthusiasm and the wish for reaching psychedelia and magic in the psytrance parties. What this artist aims with her decorations is to open your mind, to stimulate your imagination and to make you fly dancing with psytrance music.
