I am an artist deeply inspired by the mythic traditions of the world. I draw inspiration from ethnographic journals, museum catalogs and anthropological surveys. I feel that there is a connection between tribal cultures and primeval times and human creativity in general. By exploring the myths and archetypes found around the world, one can begin to piece together the subconscious dream landscape of human visual symbolism and its transformation through time. In this way, I hope to make timeless works of art and design by synthesizing and elaborating upon on ancient and modern symbols.
